CEROS PURPOSE: Advance innovative concepts and new approaches to technology while fully leveraging existing facilities and infrastructure in Hawaii and demonstrating beneficial commercial utility for the Department of Defense.

  • Unique Properties of the Deep Ocean Environment
  • Improvements in Logistics, Staffing and Operations and Maintenance

STATUS:

  • Initiated in 1993 through a grant to the HTDC, a State of Hawaii agency
  • Grant Administration transferred to NELHA, January 1996
  • Solicits proposals through annual solicitations
  • Evaluates proposals competitively for technical merit, innovation and relevance to CEROS objectives
  • Funded 256 Projects for $199, -965,627 million for FY93 - FY09
