CEROS PURPOSE: Advance innovative concepts and new approaches to technology while fully leveraging existing facilities and infrastructure in Hawaii and demonstrating beneficial commercial utility for the Department of Defense.

STATUS:
- Initiated in 1993 through a grant to the HTDC, a State of Hawaii agency
- Grant Administration transferred to NELHA, January 1996
- Solicits proposals through BAA's
- Evaluates proposals competitively for technical merit, innovation and relevance to CEROS objectives
- Funded 189 Projects for $71.98 million for FY93 - FY05
